JYAA basketball registration begins in October with the season for 3rd - 6th grade from mid-November until February.
K-2nd "Minis", are co-ed teams which begin practices in December and have games until February.

Kindergarten(K) - Boys & Girls (Co-ed) Grade 1 - Boys & Girls (Co-ed)
· This season the K and Grade 1 program will focus on developing fundamentals and improving skills. K and Grade 1 will attend practice each week in their own age group (please select K or Grade 1 depending on which grade they are currently attending). Volunteer coaches will collectively coach players in each grade in small group settings for 60 to 75 minutes per session developing their skills by working on fundamentals of passing, shooting, dribbling, rebounding, etc... Practices will build upon one another leading eventually to a 6-10 game regular season starting in Mid-February.
Grade 2 Boys, Grade 2 Girls, Grades 3 & 4 Girls, Grades 5 & 6 Girls, Grades 3 & 4 Boys, and Grades 5 & 6 Boys
· The above divisions will be participating in the Quad City Basketball League. The Quad Cities League consists of other recreational basketball programs from around the western county area mostly. Northridge, Licking Heights, Centerburg, and Utica. Home games will be played in Johnstown at JES or JMS and away games at these other program sites and practices will be held at JES or JMS.
NOTE: Inexperienced 2nd graders have an option to sign up for the grade 1 program and are encouraged to do so if this is their first season of organized basketball.
